Perfectly, yet imperfect this 8" or 12” platter has cheeky ball feet creating a stunning piece. This platter acts alone as a work of art and as a beautiful serving dish. Large enough for a glass dome to cover a decadent cake but sturdy enough to cut your favorite hard cheese. Add mix and match bowls in small sizes and pile on some bites to put together a perfect appetizer platter.
The glaze on the rim of each piece has been removed so the texture of the clay is highlighted.
White - a warm white stoneware offsets the perfect smooth white glaze. More life and vibrancy than a matte glaze which can appear dry but not a shiny white. It took awhile to find the perfect high end white.
Black - a black stoneware (not just black glaze on white clay). Black clay is special and gorgeous on it's own so the outside is left raw to enjoy the feel and look of the black stoneware. The inside of all black pieces have a deep rich black glaze that shows the subtle paint brush strokes.
All pieces are water and food safe and the bottom surface sanded smooth.
